He really needs to downsize. A house that big is a money pit. Mortgage payments, taxes, insurance, maintenance, and probably a host of many other expenses that aren't as obvious.

You've never made $40M+ in 1 year though.

The cost of a houses are more in Las Vegas than they are in Georia though. I heard people having huge houses in the South for a few hundred thousands, go up North trying to do that and you'll get slapped on the spot.

Holyfield might have paid as much for his gigantic house and property that Mayweather paid for his.

Haha, true, but it'd still cost millions but a lot cheaper than it would be anywhere else. That mansion would cost $50-100M if it wasn't in the South. Holyfield could've had that house without any money trouble, but he doesn't wear rubbers. His dislike of rubbers has been his downfall.

Imagine paying 100-200 grand for child support every month for 10-15 or however many years straight. And that's not counting divorce settlements, the cost and bills for that house, etc.

Honestly though, if Holyfield would've invested a lot of the money he made, he could do everything he's done and more.

I just dont understand the mortgage thing though. The borrower is slave to the lender, he's reportedly made over 400 million in his career, with that kind of money Im not being a slave to no one, if I cant pay for it in cash then I dont need it.

I wouldn't live in the US period. You never own anything here. You're just borrowing **** until you miss a property tax payment, so you'll always be a slave to the government.

I agree with you on the mortgage though. Holyfield has his reasoning, but he's not the smartest out. These guys need to take money management courses or an accountant and someone watching the accountant.

Whenever people ask why Holyfield is still fighting, I just show a pic of his mansion.
