I'm not joking at all. I've spoken with him on a number of occasions before speaking with him earlier. He is a cool dude and always responds to my tweets. He said that he JUST found out about Kessler pulling out of the tourney.

I don't understand why they won't fight each other. It's not like one is going to end the others career. I think even the one of the two that loses will benefit more than if they didn't fight at all.

Well according to Allan green's mate at boxing talk it seems both Ward and Direll have agreed not to fight each other....Disgusting really.

Very disgusting if they don't fight Ray. Dirrell said that it was just delayed at the moment and BS just posted an article that reinforces that.

They would have fought if it was their first or second fight of the tournament. Now they've had success (having going into the tournament as unproven prospects) they want to bail.

Let's see how things play out with this venue dispute and everything.

If Ward and Dirrell are serious about fighting each other, the show should go on.

I like Dirrell moreso than Ward, but if all the promoters agreed on the venue draw they have to aceept it. Ward got lucky and got all 3 fights at home, it's not fair, but neither is life.

Shaw needs to stop being a **** and take the fight where everyone agreed to initially in the tournament and where the fight will make the most money. The most I would give him is a fight in another city in Cali that isn't Oakland. Nothing more.

Seriously though, if these two don't fight, the Super Six loses all credibility.

If Dirrell fights in Oakland he will likely lose, that's TWO losses on his record which would amount to a big career setback - so no wonder he doesn't want to take the chance.

And Ward knows he will lose if he fights Dirrell outside Oakland, because he needs his home ref to permit him to hit while holding, and to use intentional headbutts.

So I don't think they will ever fight, unless Ken Hershman tells Ward he HAS to fight outside Oakland this time.
