No one here is talking about his past or his future, but right now , he beat Martinez even with no skills. Let the man live, damn already hatin and he just got the title.

He actually beat the ice cream salesman. And now he's beaten a guy that people were creaming themselves about all week. So give the guy some credit. He's not the re-incarnation of Jesus but he's a good kid and on tonights performance, a worthy world champion.,

Why can't you just acknowledge that it was a tremendous fight and give them their props, these guys just went to WAR for themselves and boxing fans.

How about giving a guy who was a complete underdog props for fighting his heart out especially after bein hurt a few times and having limited punching power himself. Must suck to be you with that mentality.

That would be a great idea, I can't beleive when fights like these are happening, people are talking about those two, please post the link or bump it up.

I really wanted to see this and I had access to a stream. I thought it was just about to start.

I'm still buzzing from that fight. No power, knocked down in the 1st against a champ with a great KO % and to come back and win by 3-4 rounds was superb.
I was absolutely screaming at those points Ricky would take a breather, sit on the ropes and let Martinez go..... great fight for all the right reasons. A champ willing to travel, a turnaround and a shock, and more heart than you could possible ask for!

Oh and a wee chorus of Flower of Scotland before the fight just made a special night for us Scots boxing fans.

Gutted i had to nip out after the Smith - Simpson fight, as id been looking forward to these 2 fights. Sounds a great fight, so hopefully its in the download section some time tomorrow.

The only reason I say different is because they went back on forth, calderon was gonna win on points if it went the distance, these guys were fighting as if they hated each other.
