Comments Thread For: Felix Sturm-Giovanni Lorenzo Early Results From Germany

Cologne, Germany - In a few short hours at the Lanxess-Arena, WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm (33-2, 14KOs) will make his long awaited return against Giovanni Lorenzo (29-2, 21KOs). Sturm has been away from the ring since July 2009. He waged a legal war with Universum to become a free agent. Lorenzo will get his second opportunity to capture a world title. He lost a twelve round split decision in September 2009 when he challenged Sebsatian Sylvester.

Nice comeback win for Sturm but pretty predictable since Lorenzo had lost to a washed up Marquez and Sylvester in his only other somewhat meaningful fights. Hopefully Sturm will take on Golovkin, the interim champion, next and not go back to his old ways of fighting easily beatable, no punch opponents

hope Golovkin fights N'Jikam for the linear WBA championship and than take on the Super Champ.

Felix next fight will be in december, he just said it in a interview after the fight.
