WBC silver junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will not have a battle of words with his September 18 opponent, Carlos Baldomir. Alvarez has pledged to have a battle of fists in the ring when they clash at Staples Center in California on the undercard of the Shane Mosley vs. Sergio Mora pay-per-view. Baldomir recently made comments promising to knock Alvarez out before ten rounds.

I agree with you. I don't know why this card is getting shitted on so much. I consider this a better overall card then the July 31st show. Escalante-De Leon is going to be a barnburner. Ortiz-Harris should be a decent enough test for Ortiz, I thought Harris was impressive in his fight with Matthyse (the fight was stopped too early in my opinion). Alvarez-Baldomir I really like. I sense there might be a huge upset here. And Mosley-Mora well I like Mosley, lol.

This card should be a thriller from top to bottom. Got 36 people going, with $20 seats you can't beat it. We will be tailgating before the fights, should be a good day.

I also think that the De Leon-Escalante scrap will be good for as long as it lasts.
