Every man and his dog knows Calzaghe aces this tournament....anyone that says otherwise ent a credible poster or is just and out and out hater ..for fcuk sake even if he was getting out pointed he found the way to adapt and win !Comment

Past prime Calzaghe would still walk the Super 6. He could also take anyone currently at 175 too. Too smart, too fast.Comment

Joe Calzaghe was around 36 years old when he fought Lacy. He would have knocked Lacy and Kessler out if he was in his prime. A prime Calzaghe most likely beats Ward, Dirrell, Froch, Abraham. Bute gives Calzaghe a few problems, but nothing he wouldn't adapt to. In fact Ward is the toughest match up for Calzaghe. I think it would be a close fight, but again, Calzaghe always finds a way to win. It's just a shame he didn't step it up until late in his career. A prime Calzaghe fighting the likes of The Super Six would have been special.
I still believe he could make a comeback and beat Dawson and Pascal easily. Bute would possibly outpoint Calzaghe at this stage in his career.Comment

Your arguments have some merit (imo) but Bute is more flashy than good. Prime Cal or 42yo B-Hop puts on parade his weaknesses.
Hagler KO's him early.Comment

IMO, prime Calzaghe beats them all including Bute, and even now...if Joe got himself in shape, he'd beat some of the top contender's at 175 im sure.
It's just a shame that the super-six came along after Joe's venture at 168, as the participants are arguably better then anybody else on Joe's resume at the weight (barring a prime Kessler)Comment
