Stereotypical humor can be a pretty funny thing. We all fall victim to it ; blacks, whites, asians, hispanics, etc....

But it's knowing how to walk that line between funny and insensitive that's key.

I'm white, so I can't say anything about Floyd on the buckets of chicken, because I don't know how that felt to a black guy.

I'm sure some were offended, and some were amused ; as with any large group of people, you're going to have division and difference of opinion.

But Floyd's rant not only came from the man himself (not his fans on message boards) ; it was straight up vitriolic.

It wasn't said in jest, it wasn't tongue in cheek. It was "yellow motherfucker". That's venom.

And that's the difference.

I know exactly what you said. You said that part of the difference is that poster's here make comments in jest while Mayweather's comments were venomous. No need to try and spin it like you didn't try to make that point just because I refuted it.

Your "this rant came from Mayweather himself" argument is invalid as well. Ignorance is ignorance. You should be just as offended by socalled racist comments made by random internet posters as you are by those same kind of comments made by Mayweather or any other famous person. If you haven't been criticizing posters here and everywhere else on the internet for making racist remarks, then you don't hold weight criticizing Mayweather. It's as simple as that.
