    Margarito's key to victory...The Jab!

If Margarito can keep the lil Man at a distance the fight will be won with ease. Manny has no style of defense thats why he likes to fight other brawlers. If Manny can't get in on the inside its "game over". Margarito has fought and beat fighters like, Martinez, Clottey, cintron and fought a close fight with Paul Williams. THere is no way that Manny beats Margarito unless it is a staged event like Pac vs CLottey.

They have weight classes for a reason.

No. Margarito is a pressure fighter first and foremost who is heavily reliant on his chin. A boxer with Margarito's lack of speed can't keep Pacquiao off him - plus this is not his style whatsoever and would just be asking to get annhilated!

Tony's hands not fast enough for him to win on a jab
won't be able to snap that punch out quickly enough to dominate with it
it can be effective but not Tony's bread and butter
plain and simple, Tony needs to KO Pac
if Tony wins he wins this with power

Hilarious!!! DAMN. I was just thinking yes the jab is a basic punch but its not easy to learn that far along in a career how to educate your jab and pump it throughout a fight.

I respectfully disagree. Margarito has an OK jab, but its not the sort of thing to keep people off...hell, the way he uses it is more of a way to bring people in to start the war.

Contrary to popular thought, Pacquiao is NOT a good infighter. his best spot is close-midrange. when someone bodies up with him, he actually holds or goes into his shell. smothering him might actually be a smart thing, although overall I think Morales had the best strategy...keep far away, or push him back. Standing in his midrange where he can plant himself and generate his speed is the worst idea.

The one thing Margarito has going for him in terms of punches is, in my opinion, his left uppercut. Its actually something Margarito excells at, throwing the left(lead hand) uppercut. Thats the main reason he beat Cotto imo, Ive always thought that Cotto was weak to uppercuts because of his defensive style, and Margarito was actually throwing about 3 of them in a row and they were still scoring. that was his money punch before the fight to me, and thats what did the most damage.

I think Pacquiao actually does have a weakness to left uppercuts. I remember specifically that Cotto was able to split his guard and pop his head back with it, and the same thing with even with Clottey(which probably caused all that bruising on Pac's face), even though those guys dont have that great of left uppercuts.
