Amir Khan's mandatory WBA light-welterweight title defence against Argentinian contender Marcos Maidana on December 11 is set for Detroit or Las Vegas.

Detroit could draw strong support for Khan as the city has a big ****** population.

Khan wanted to fight in Britain, but the MEN Arena in Manchester and London's O2 have rock concerts on the date.
