So, in the instance that Ex used "nigg@", he really meant, "ni gger"?
Us non Blacks have to ask because we're not qualified on the usage of the word.
If I said Floyd was a "ni gger", because of the way he acts,
would that be ok? Or is it only other Blacks who can point that out with that word?Comment

no, it wouldnt be ok becuase of the history attached to the word. history is everything. historically, that would has caused a lot of pain, destruction and death. its not ok to use and i dont think it is ok for black ppl to use amongst themselves either, but it happens and that is still different that a white person using it.So, in the instance that Ex used "nigg@", he really meant, "ni gger"?

But how is it different if a Black and a non Black use it as the same descriptive word?no, it wouldnt be ok becuase of the history attached to the word. history is everything. historically, that would has caused a lot of pain, destruction and death. its not ok to use and i dont think it is ok for black ppl to use amongst themselves either, but it happens and that is still different that a white person using it.
I understand the history behind it,
but what if I, a Chicano say, "Floyds just being a ni gger" in the same tone that Ex said it,
is it racist, or just an observation?Comment

i know what you were trying to say...the problem was you quoted me without understanding the content of my post so i put you in your proper place and you started crying.lol...the hostility is unnecessary. makes u look bad, really. ur on the internet, no need to be a warrior. anyways, my point remains, u say im focusing on the wrong thing but i addressed everything u said regardless of what it was aimed at. if ur not smart enough to comprehend, blame yourself and call me some more names.Comment

i know of plenty of hispanics who use it, im from new york. its common place for dominicans and puerto ricans to use it here so it wouldnt be as offensive, not that it isnt wrong. the point is they dont use the word to justify some sort of superiority of black people. thats typically not how black people use it either.
thats the historical context in which whites used it, to justify their actions. its really not hard to understand and there are numerous journal articles and books written about it, ive had to study racism in america for my college thesis paper and u discover a lot of this stuff, its really interesting if u wanna read around.Comment
