Im not even sure where to start with this one. Let's see...Floyd said some ignorant things about an Asian boxer. Suddenly that turns into White America hating a Black man having money? Most of the country voted for *****, so you can get lost with that "White America" nonsense. Floyd is not Jack Johnson. Floyd is not Ali. He is Floyd Mayweather. He is his own man and should be viewed in kind. Now, the fact that some would rather turn this into a "**** the White man!!!" thread rather then a "Let's break down what Floyd really said and have a dialogue about it" thread is just plain sad. Also, since when has "White America" pitted all of its hopes on Manny? If White America gave a **** about race they would have backed guys like Calzaghe, Tszyu, Hatton, Wlad, Vitali and Pavlik. The fact is they view those fighters as objectivly as they view anyone else. Poll the races of the fans of Floyd Mayweather on here, and I would be willing to bet that most of his fans are White. So then the question becomes, what is your argument? America has a lot of White people in it. Floyd is rich as **** in America. Boxingscene has alot of White posters on it. Floyd has alot of White fans on here. If you simply want to continue to live with a victim mentality of "Whitey wont let a brother have anything" then you might as well crawl under a rock and stay there. You cant accept reality. Columbus discovered America and proved that the earth was not flat... Right?

We tend to "underplay previous explorers" (39). There were probably 15 or more individuals and groups that "discovered" and settled America before Columbus.

Others after delivery have killed their children with their own hands, so as not to leave them in such oppressive slavery"" (63).

"Estimates of Haiti's pre-Columbian population range as high as 8,000,000 people... a census of Indian adults in 1496.. came up with 1,100,000... "By 1516," according to Benjamin Keen, "thanks to the sinister Indian slave trade and labor policies initiated by Columbus, only some 12,000 remained." Las Casas tells us that fewer than 200 Indians were alive in 1542. By 1555, they were all gone" (63).
