Actually most puerto Ricans are a diffrent Race than Mexicans... Most Puerto Ricans are mixed up with Tiano(indian), Spanish and African Blood which makes them look more of latin descent....
While Mexicans are mixed with Spanish and and Aztec/Mayan Blood which are a totally diffrent group of Indians from Tiano people...
