There's no bigger Wlad hater than myself, but I have to give him props for stepping up to fight the dangerous, some what avoided Sam Peter.I actually thought Wlad's management was protecting him from facing big bombers like Peter, but I guess I was wrong.

My Pick: Wlad gets KTFO but I'l give him respect regardless, since he wanted this fight to happen. Not many title holders or top contender would want to fight Peter.

Well stated, I agree. Peter is very powerful, but too sloppy and will be walking into that bullet of a jab until he gets put out of his misery.

44-3 (40 K.O.'s) and not exactly against cream puff opposition like his big brother.....(ala Mike Ackly). Not to incite an arguement....but I give Peter props for taking this fight at this point in his career. He is in there with the most skilled heavyweight since Lennox Lewis.

And I say moreso than Toney....because he is a natural heavyweight, and has established himself there.

...I'm not convinced that Peter's people really want this fight. Saying they want it and then commiting now that the challenge has been agreed to are two different things. I also expect Peter to charge Wlad to start the fight but he better be damn careful. Wlad nails him with a big right when Peter comes swinging crazy and it could be lights our for him early too. We still don't know if he can take a punch. His tree trunk neck sure looks like it would allow him to but we just don't know. Anyway, I bet Peter fights Sinan Sam instead.

i can only see 2 scenarios for this fight, either:

1 - wlad schools him and KO's him late

            or

2 - peter gets an early KO

why not wlad by early KO? i think he'll play it safe and jab for the first 2-3 rounds...

Brock is going to be in for a suprise in his next fight. Mark my god damn words. He wont last but two rounds...and believe it or not: Right now, I think Brewster, Toney, and Peter have the best shot at beating Wlad. Realistically, I dont think either three would happen.

Too much ****ing salsa. im telling you.

Hell yeah! About time a fight in the heavyweight division happened that would have some meaning to the future of the division. I'll give props to Wlad to accept Sam Peter's challenge but I feel his days are now numbered. He will need more than just a jab to keep Peter off of him (sound gross doesn't it ). Once he knows he can't keep Sam at bay with just the jab he will have to come inside and that my friends will be the beginning of the end for Wlad. Yes Wlad has more experience and is technically more sound but like Ibeabuchi before him Sam Peter believes no one can beat him and confidence in this division is everything. Those who say Sam has no skill really haven't seen him fight. I don't think Wlad has enough to beat a fighter like Sam Peter who is on a roll right now... a roll straight to a championship title fight!

The talk goes both ways-I will be real excited when this fight gets signed not until then.

I lean toward Sam Peter, sure he is a big ohf but he can punch and all he has to do is tag Wlad 1 good time and I think his fight plan goes out the window. wlad will use up a lot of energy just because he will be on his toes so much trying to stay away from Sam.

Now on the other hand we will see if Peter can take some shots and still be effective-this is one of the better HW fights out there right now too see and it should tell us a ton about two guys that everyone has an opinion about.

PBDS, Im telling you buddy the division is better off if Peter comes out and destroys Wlad-Peter is right now the only unique thing we have going in the division...Im not a wlad hater at all I just want to see the Peter mystique grow more.

...I hear what your saying man but I think Wlad winning this fight in impressive fashion is nearly as good for the division. The heavies probably need a guy like Peter but who's to say if he is a mirage or not. If Wlad smacks him down easily then we may have our answer. Wouldn't you rather find out about him now and if he isn't the real deal then people can move on from his bandwagon. If he beats Wlad in impressive fashion then I will give the guy his props for sure and I will be a believer.

That is exactly how I feel. People would point to (if he beat Wlad) "oh well...he beat a glass jawed, shot fighter". That is nonsense to me, because Wlad is the toughest possible test he could take in this division IMO.
