I dont know if hes doing it cuz hes greedy or wants the fame but I have noticed a huge diffirence in him in the last few years.

Steward once had the kronk gym and trained 20+ fighters. Lou Duva did the same with Main Events. The thing is that they have trusted assistants to help them and spend the most time with the most importsnt fighters and the most important fights. Steward like Angelo Dundee reduced the amount he trained as he aged and it became to much to handle a large stable.

Because he is well known and PERCEIVED by many as the best. IMO his strongest suit is his matchmaking skills. He knows who will make his fighters look good and who to avoid.

You show roach the colour of your money and hes yours.
But he trained James Toney as well didnt he and Berhard hopkins. The people he trains go on to be really, really good there is a pattern emerging. Khan is looking half decent now as well.

Pac is just roachs piste de la resistance or whatever the saying.

hes not the most amazing trainer in the world, but hes solid. Under his training, most fighters stay in decent shape, and get better at the basics. You rarely see a fighter go downhill while theyre training with Roach.

its not just Roach, its his entire team that works well for fighters. not to mention youll have high level sparring options if you work out at the Wild Card...thats always good.

If you expect him to teach you fancy techniques like the shoulder roll(Mayweather Sr) and redifine your style to a jabbing outfighter(Manny Steward), hes not for you. and thats good, because a majority of fighters get worse when you try to make them something theyre not.

but if you want a solid physical conditioning and for him to get rid of some weaknesses youve developed, then hes great for you.

Hes a good trainer, keeps all of his fighters in shape and is very strict on training sessions.

Hes being more flashy, doing more tv interviews, starting to hype fights up instead of actually training.

He got lucky with paq and it seems everyone is going to him because they think hes some sort of god. Do they not realize that he has 15 fighters and he cant put in the same level of dedication as another trainer would?
you blaming the guy for his achievements?
