Is Margarito big among Mexicans, or is he big among Chicanos mainly?

I ask myself this because I have not seen that kind of support in Mexican press/media, but some Chicanos seem delirious about Margo.

In fact I saw a Mexican tv show (non-sport related) supporting Cotto against Pacquiao. I haven't seen Margo in a Mexican tv show. De la Hoya was big. Chávez was - and still is - HUGE. And Chávez Jr. is marketeable, even without a big win in his record.

It is somewhat unfair to say this (since he is just starting to shine), but I feel the same way about Perro.

If Chávez Jr. beats Cotto all hell breaks loose in Mexico.
