No you ****in idiots not by himself. Floyd did have a little to do with it. What really sold that fight was the date and the promotion. Floyd vs oscar sold lots because of oscar mostly. People want to see the golden boy shut up the big mouth. Plus floyd acted like he was looking for the ko. The fact that he was fighting hatton and that hatton was aggresive, exciting, white, british and undefeated is what sold that fight. Again with may vs mosley. It was the fact that the pacquiao talks were still a buzz. Then with the help of golden boy and the fact that he was fighting a real fighter for once is what sold that fight. Believe it or not haters but people do know who mosley is. People thought he was going to lose brutaly because of the shanes fight with margarito. So for may vs mosley it was pacquiao's buzz, shane mosley(current and former world champ), and gbp's that sold that fight. Floyd's mouth helped aswell. Gbp's spent as much as they made promoting that. I'm no ******* either. He has all his bs going on as well. So stfu most of you idiots!

[QUOTE=adp023;9149472]You CANNOT lie to the media because you can get sued!!! A media statement has tons and tons of legal ramifications and is considered libelous especially if you make a false public statement because it's on record!!!

      That was a dumb-ass statement

whats up t.i., i would like to see pac fight with out catch wts though. IMO that dimishes his victory. he should fight cheato at the limit not at a catch wt of 151. thats roaches doing just like its roach that wont let pac fight shane at any wt. but pac should fight at the limit of what ever class he's fighting in then there would be no what if's.

pacquiao screwed that fight up and he's lying about the random drug testing.floyd mayweather does not need you and the boxing community will see the difference in november.that billion dollar stadium won't help and the atmosphere will be lame without mayweather.have fun with cheato you coward.

There are plenty of HOF'ers.. just not those fighters he listed, it just so happens that Floyd fought them.

He can fight whoever and would still do well in PPV according to *****s. So why fight tough opponents when you could make the same money fighting boxers you are comfortable fighting?

              Just leave the guy alone!
Out of each fighters last 4 opponents, which fighter has fought the toughest opponent?

I agree with the part in bold. However, catch weights have been a part of boxing for some time now. Counting the Margarito fight, Manny has had 2 catch weight fights (Cotto, Marg).. Cotto was not weight drained and Marg who fought most of his fights at 147 will not be drained either.

I too don't see any reason for the catch weights, Manny seems to have filled in at 147.. but 154 seems a bit steep (reason for 151 c/w). He should have just defended the belt at 147 vs. Marg, but then you'd have people complaining that Manny is draining Marg. Catch 22, lose/lose situation.

                    lets see floyd:

mosley: 39 year old 1 year & 5 months inactive when floyd fought him.

marquez: career featherweight, 36 years old, 56 plus fights including 3 straight wars vs pac, casa, & diaz when floyd fought him at welterweright.

                    hatton: career 140 pounder.

                    oscar

                    pacquiao:

lets see, clottey & cotto alone are harder than floyd's last 4 fights. cotto beat shane. pac beat marquez at 130. & we all know what happened with hatton & oscar.

                    good job dude.

That is proof that Arum, Greenberg and now Pacquiao are telling the TRUTH and why Mayweather and Haymon are keeping quiet!! Leonard Ellerbe can say whatever he wants because he was NOT directly part of the negotiations. Anything Ellerbe says like "no negotiations" is dismissed as opinion. But if Mayweather and/or Haymon make a false statement to the media about the negotiations, they'll get screwed in court!!!

Sorry Floyd fans.....your boy simply punked out!!!!
you are very funny and not in a good way. its only libel( a written form of defamation) if you knowingly tell a lie that defames another person. which can be very hard to prove. its defamation if you tell a lie on another person(spoken) thats knowingly untrue and has sinister conotations. you can lie to the media all day and not be held accountable. its done all the time by politicos and the rich and famous. and all along you never had anybody from team mayweather confirm they were in talks with arum for a fight with pac. only arum and people from pacs camp spoke to the media. all along i keep saying bob arum is a mastermind(and former politician) and a career liar. its his job. and even if you have a statement from another person, you still have to prove that person made that statement. how many times have you heard a person say" i was mis quoted, i never made that statement" a million times maby? so get off the you can get in trouble for statements made to the press. and get real.
