I look at it like this... Floyd is made a VERY smart move. I still think money and EGO was an issue no matter HOWWWW much the reports try to deny it. Money May has a GINORMOUS EGO and the fact that Manny is getting more notoriety than him kills him to the core. The simple fact that Manny gets way more credit for beating the same people Money May did but for doing it in a more spectacular fashion hurts Mayweather's EGO. So I think, while his ego was hurt by the mere fact that Pacman is placed above him on many critics list as the best POUND FOR POUND fighter, he is still making a SMART smart business move by falling back from the Pacquiao fight for the remainder of the year. This allows Team Mayweather the ability to see who comes forward to fight Pacquiao to see the attention it draws. And due to the public's insatiable desire to see Mayweather v. Pacquiao, any other fight signed will not gain the attention as those two squaring off. So what does this do for MAYWEATHER...? It gives him more power at the negotiating table b/c now he can say, "Hey, your fight still didn't do the numbers I've done... I DESERVE MORE MONEY." Assuming that he calculated this more correctly, if done right, Mayweather should be able to command 60% of the purse when him and Pacquiao meet. I don't think EITHER one of these fighters are scare to fight each other. Mayweather already said he doesn't fight for legacy, he fights for checks. So he will take an "L" if he could make $75mil for this MEGA-F!GHT.

"hey, we fought the guys you didn't want to, fights that the fans wanted to see".

and no, he wouldn't take a hundred mil to lose.

ive heard pacquiao detractors say for years now that there's some talk behind the boxing scene that pac is taking steroids.

yet nothing has come out.
