Pacquiao WILL get a LOT of recognition for beating Margarito

Most fight fans are NOT into the sport like some boxingscene members. They see boxing as a fight, that's it. Most of them have not seen fights since they got out of school, so their experience is as limited as their knowledge. That's the casual fan for you.

The casual fan will see that Margarito is much taller than Pacquiao, and will instantly think "this bigger man is going to murder that midget". When the opposite happens, Pacquiao will look like the second coming of Jesus Christ.

That's one reason for Tyson's popularity. He took down much bigger men, violently.

Pac will violently defeat Margarito. Probably not a knockout, but by ref stoppage, or cuts. And he will get PLENTY of recognition from the casual fan, which is the kind of fan that actually buys the PPV.

        Dude.

-- Clottey was also taller than Pac.
-- Clottey had more muscles than Pac.
        -- Clottey was also black.

Yet nobody gave a **** that Pac beat him because everybody knows Pac is one of the best fighters on Earth.

        OMG.

If nobody/everybody are boxingscene posters and dedicated boxing analysts/writers/commentators, sure, you are right. But I am talking about casual fans.

And the casual fans are the cash cow.

See the Clottey fight with casual fans, the kind of fans De la Hoya made a fortune with, who don't know **** about boxing. The kind of casual sports fan that, for example, thinks that any team with Beckham will instantly win.

The kind of fan that relies on vulgar knowledge.
