i was rooting for him when he started making his klitschko challenges.

nothing against the klits but i thought haye could make for some entertaining fights at heavy.

but that was 2+ years ago.

if he thinks fighting 1 fight a year against john ruiz and nikolay valuev is enough , i don't know......

Walk down he street and ask 100 people in any city in America who he is. None will know. Maybe one if you get lucky. But that is the same with guys like Wlad as well.

This is true, but he draws more PPVS than anyone outside of Pacquiao and Mayweather.

His fight with Valuev did over 800,000 PPVs, and Ruiz apparently did 600k PPV buys.

I can't remember an active fighter that did those numbers outside of a Pacquiao or Mayweather fight. This is purely the UK buys, I'm sure the German TV drew a large percentage of people (I don't think German fights are on PPV often)

Regardless it's still a lot of money, this is just what I have researched. I don't particularly support Haye and his actions anymore but his fan base in the UK is ridiculous especially looking at the UK's population.

peter is the most legit opponent that he could get right now, and i do believe peter is ranked (am i wrong here?) so it would get a mandatory out of the way as well. povetkin is ducking (but hes admitting it at least), and haye is doing some of the most explosive and mind blowing ducking ever seen in the history of boxing. Adamek isn't available either.

who else would you rather have wladimir fight? solis? valuev? arreola? or worse... maskaev?

arreola is the only one that could potentially be more dangerous than peter - but he is on the comeback trail. i don't think he wants or needs any part of a klitschko fight any time soon. solis is no more dangerous than peter is and would be less of a money fight. making a deal with valuev is impossible, plus he is injured.

wlad is fighting the best that is available to him. it would be nice if haye, povetkin, and adamek would step up to the plate - but it isn't going to happen. TBH i think the peter rematch is nicer than the povetkin fight.

the only other super fight in the division (aside from haye-wlad) is klitschko-klitschko. that isn't going to happen.
