It is, but if you are a boxer you are not going into MMA. Boxing is a sport that lives on its own, wrestling cant live on its own(real wrestling not WWE). That's why you see all the collegiate wrestlers in MMA. A wrestling PPV or a brazilian jiujitsu PPV card as single combat matches would do 1,000 buys.

Boxing is the most exciting combat sport in the world because it is human nature people want to see men like Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Roberto Duran and Julio Cesar Chavez go toe to toe throwing huge punches people do not want to see men in short shorts grappling on the ground. I do not understand how anyone enjoys watching jiu-jitsu or wrestling. You will never hear anyone say after a fight or wow did you see how good that grappling was they want to see punches in bunches.

lol that is what i was going to say exactly most other martial arts can not live on their own while boxing is thriving (despite what most of them say because they are haters) honestly if you took the two best wrestlers in the world and put them in a wrestling match on ppv how many buys do you think it would get? I honestly think be lucky to be around 5,000 and you can put on a mediocre boxing match and it would smash it.
