Big George Foreman Please Stay Retired From The Boxing Ring

Don't get me wrong I love Big George Foreman he is one of my favorite fighters of all time, a living legend. But recently it is rumored that Big George is planning a comeback to the ring at the age of 56. In this day and age athletes are staying in the game longer with much success, take a look at Bernard Hopkins and Jerry Rice among other athletes who are well into or on their way into their 40's. But in my humble opinion there comes a point when I feel that an athlete is too old to compete, and 56 years old in a boxing ring is just too much. At that age George should be enjoying his life that he created, be happy and spend the millions - not taking 100's more un needed blows to the head for the taste of past glory. George for your fans and for humanity please dont step in the ring again. I'd hate to see George end up like Ali or Meldrick Taylor. Your thoughts.

Publicity stunt. Don King supposedly offered him 20 mil to fight the John Ruiz - Hasim Rahman winner.

20 million dollars turned down? Big George has no plans of returning in a competitive fight at a high level.

$20,000,000 is chicken feed to George Forman. He is the richest athlete on the planet, thanks to that ****** grill.

I agree, he needs to stay retired. It wouldn't be good for boxing to have a fifty year plus Heavyweight champ after he knocked JOhn Ruiz out.

Its not john ruiz im worried about its some of those other heavyweights. The older you get the more your recuperative powers degenerate, and even if George does beat some of these young guys he will take some blows to the head in order to do it. That is unnecessary blows that a man of his age should not be taking.

Well if he fights Ruiz I dont think he has to worry about taking any punches I dont think I've ever seen him throw one.
