Mosdef, I know people are complaining that it's on PPV but it's 3 rather entertaining fights that pretty much equal one of those Top Rank Latin Fury/Pinoy Power cards with one good main event and hella crappy undercard fights. Baldomir is an actual light middleweight and it's funny to see people call him a bum since even Steward said "Baldomir is the first true welterweight that Floyd will face"...*ahem* that opinion changed around the time Mayweather-Mosley was gonna happen. This is a good step up for the kid and hopefully by late 2011 he should be fighting Top 15/10 competition. These things take time, take note of what happened to Jacobs/Ortiz when GBP rushed the boat.
Got a lot of love for Baldo but he's 39 and hasn't beaten anyone of note since he pasted a washed-up Gatti four years ago. He'll teach the kid a thing or two, but Alvarez will get the UD
Former welterweight champion Carlos Baldomir has promised to knock unbeaten Saul "Canelo" Alvarez out on September 18 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Baldomir faces Alvarez for his WBC silver 154-pound title. Baldomir-Alvarez is a co-feature bout to Shane Mosley vs. Sergio Mora. [Click Here To Read More]
baldomir is coming out of retirement? I hope they are paying baldomir well.
good for baldomir, still trying to fight the good fight. I can see this fight being more of a "Dawson vs Johnson" type fight. Baldomir gonna have some good moments, but Alvarez will get the UD.
