Is it ridiculous that Pac can be a title holder NOT at the correct weight?

He won the Welterweight title at 144lbs, and now going for the light middleweight at 150lbs

It seems to be a joke that he can be crowned the champ of a weight division, but lowers the weight limit for both fighters

    What do you think....

This is clearly not Pacs idea, just his trainer/promoters

i think the right camp to elevate your concern is the WBC.

Idk why pac just doesnt come in 150 himself and let Marg come 154. It makes no sense. Same with the Cotto fight. He let Clottey come in at 147. **** is unfair and ******. He shouldnt get much credit for this fight and title imo considering the history of Marg and the weight limit..

It wouldn't be so bad if he was actually fighting a champion instead of some disgraced stablemate!!

          money talks.

          1. marg is more money than any of the other options bradley , berto , pwill , etc.

          2. probably less risk. they don't want to derail an eventual floyd fight.

either way , don't worry about the catchweight , don't worry about the title.

          title is meaningless.

just look at it as a smaller guy testing out a new division against a past it much bigger guy.

if you think it'll be entertaining , watch it. if you don't , then don't watch it.

          simple.

not every fight can be a superfight or something.

ofcourse it is, its absurd. hell fighting margarito alone is absurd looking at the mans two last fights, but thats not good enough for pacquiao. he has to damage the sport that made him with his fights.

                damage the sport?

                okay.....

if you don't like the fight that's one thing.

                but damage the sport?

I agree with all Ur points, but they still made the fight a championship fight,I just can't ignore that!!We all give Floyd his share of criticism for that Marquez catchweight fiasco, but at the very least, that wasn't a championship fight.I wouldn't have had a problem if this fight was just called a tune-up to test super welter, but Arum really added a title fight in this farce!!

Would you have been ok with it if say Margarito fought for the vacant 154lb belt against #1ranked alvarez or #2 rhodes 1st???
