Getting back to the point, what makes margarito so compelling. Is it his familly and wife first attitude. His no nonsense style, the way he makes fighters quit, and pokes fun at the way others quit, or a combination of all those points?

when the plaster scandal broke, i was mad at the guy...wanted to hate him but that didn't last long..in fact, i kinda missed having him in the mix

I always will have a soft spot for Margarito. He gave us some of the best welterweight fights of the last 5 or so years. He was a fun fighter. There is no proof that he ever fought with loaded gloves.

Some more than others. Also some might even hate his guts, but deep down inside they have a distinct respect for him, thus illustrating that they mildly like him. A lot of people here call him margacheeto, when he has never successfully cheated in a fight during his legendary career, thus showing that they think he was so good that he cheated, which indirectly can be taken as respect.
