    EXCITEMENT is BACK at 108!!!!!!!

Just watched Segura-Calderon from start to finish... And all i can say is that Segura's reign as Champ will be UNBELIEVABLE.

He has the potential to be one of those Action Stars too, because literally EVERY top opponent he could face has FOTY garuntee written all over it. He's so deficient in some ares, and yet he hits so ridiculously hard for a guy at 108.

Imagine Segura-Mayol or Segura-Nino. Both tremendous matchups. Or even Segura-Calderon 2. Or even better then all of them IMO, is the all Mexican Segura-Sosa fight. Sosa has impressed the HELL out of me in the past and I think this is one of the best matchups that could be made in boxing.

I mean, i loved Calderon as much as the next guy. He was a great posterchild for the smaller guys, and absolutely phenomenal fighter. But obviously, Calderon could be in some snoozers.

Segura is the ****ing man. I can't wait to see more of him.

The real excitement will start once Roman Gonzalez invades it.

Segura's like a smaller Margarito with better footwork. With that style, considering the fight he got out of Calderon, considered a boring fighter, it's hard to imagine a boring fight out of the guy.

Segura vs Solis would be big here in Mex, and it has a bigger chance of happening than a fight against Sosa, who has been fighting on a rival tv network and has moved up in weight. It also has FOTY potential...but yeah Segura vs Mayol, Niño, Solis, Calderon, Viloria, Gonzalez if he Moves up, Sosa if Segura moves up........

Segura can't be in a bad fight if he keeps fighting the best...(a shame that i dont really like Segura, for his blatant cheat vs Canchilla.....yes, Segura was on his way to win, but he clearly Ko'ed him way after the bell....and clearly noticed....still find him entertaining and was happy he beat the overrated Calderun)

Sosa is now campaigning at flyweight.

He's going to target Wonjongkam or whoever has the WBC title.

But yeah, Segura is the kinda of guy who's not really capable of being in a boring fight.

lol the title of the thread implies there ever was excitement at 108 pounds.

dude, they're 108 pounds. it's fun to watch them slug each other, but when you stop and think that none of those punches could even dent foam packaging, it kind of kills the excitement, at least for me. they could land 500 punches on each other and it wouldn't be as devastating as one or 2 right hands from a welterweight

If the guys at the smaller weights could put on more fights like Calderon-Segura they could start getting featured more prominently. I'd like to see the little guys get more televised fights. Calderon lost and he's been taking **** for surrendering but he went down in an action fight. That's all we ought to be concerned with right now. Fights don't have to be big, they just need to be good.
