Oscar was in a limo with Pacquiao with a suitcase full of money and told him he would have the money if he signs the contract. The gullible Manny signs and thinks he did something smart. Bob freaks out so files a lawsuit. Both parties fight it out in court. GBP makes over 20% of what Pacquiao makes a fight. I gurantee you part of the negotiation between Floyd/Pac deals with GBP giving up their piece of Manny to give Top Rank a true 50/50 money split which GBP fails to agree on. Bob says **** that I'll make any fight with Manny with fellow Top Rank opponents since he gets his cut from both .GBP says oh well thanks for the contribution.Well be taking our cut. i've read it's true.

golden boy was courting pacquiao bad.

golden boy had barrera , marquez , etc. under their banner.

pacquiao rematches with both were very lucrative. imagine if gbp had 100% control of all 3.

that's why arum didn't want to let pacquiao go.

arum didn't care even though he knew golden boy will sue him. arum is use to litigation. he probably just told pacquiao sign and let me worry about it.

it looks bad that arum is giving golden boy a cut and co-promoting pacquiao with golden boy in some of his fights but in the end it worked out a lot better for him than if he just let pacquiao sign with golden boy.

it worked out better for pacquiao too.
