Realistically, who should Pavlik fight next?

    On the Pacquiao card?

Since Manfredo looks to be fighting someone else

And we know it wont be Dmitry Pirog because they don't want Kelly to lose coming off a loss.

So the question is, who is a decent, but realistic opponent for Kelly? (what I mean by that is someone that kelly would likely beat but at the same time put up a good or entertaining fight).

Andrade. Seriously he needs to leave middleweight as long as Sergio and even Pirog are there he only has a punchers chance. He should take his chances at super middle weight in my opinion.

I read somewhere they actually wanted a good opponent for him, but I doubt it. We are gonna get some Pavlik vs Macklin fight.

For some reason pavlik vs duddy sounds good to me. I think Ishe would be bad fight for pavlik.

Either some ranked contender in the WBC/WBO rankings at 160 (a Gary Lockett type) or maybe 168.

Honestly Andradre would be the ideal pick if Pavlik were to move up. If not, and I know this wont be a popular pick, I would have to go with Cintron.

Nothing is wrong with Kelly physically, it's just his confidence is extremely low. You can see it against Martinez when it was an even fight (harold's scorecard around 8th round or so) but broke mentality when Sergio put that monsterous 9th round together.

I personally would put him in with Cintron because:

                    1. he is even mentally weaker than Pavlik, so he doesn't have to worry about a dude pushing him to the brink

                    2. Despite Cintron's disgracefully performances, He still is a good boxer at 154.

I say take a confidence builder, then go for a bigger name. Atleast that is what I would do if I were handing Pavlik. Dude is still young (28 years old) so he has about 5-6 years left of his physical prime. Mentally is were he has slipped so give him decent fights (not espino, lockett types) to help him build up confidence.
