Fair enough, but a point does arise out of what Toney says.

Don't get me wrong, I love boxing. But the UFC definitely has a lot less bs and politics going on than boxing. I don't think there's many fighters in the UFC where you think 'damn i want him to fight this man' and it either has happened already or it will. The best fight the best.

We are having serious issues with that in boxing right now. There is just so much potential which does not happen. Contrary to what White is doing with the UFC, he is exploiting the potential to the max.

Well that's because UFC is one entity and only one man runs the show...

UFC is not MMA, just like Top Rank or Golden Boy are not Boxing...

There are just too many damn hands in the cookie jar in boxing, but UFC there is only one, but if you notice the top guys from Strike force, Belle---, UFC, etc etc are not fighting eachother without some sort of push and pull negotiations... Otherwise Fedor would've fought a current UFC champion a long time ago..

UFC is not MMA but the reason why MMA is getting so big is largely due to UFC. Their PPV's are just top notch (for an MMA fan), the presentation, the cards, everything is very well done. I gotta give credit where it's due. I'm not an MMA expert but if you watch UFC I think you're already covering a substantial part of the popular fighters list in mma right? Fedor is an exception I'm sure there are more but you get the point.

Of course as boxing fans we know better.....but to the untrained eye, anyone looking at boxing right now just sees nobody fighting each other. The welterweight division is a ****ing mess of politics, the Jr. welterweight division has most people talking **** and doing nothing (yet), and we all know about the Heavyweight division.

I have faith, there are plenty of matches coming in the next year or two that I LOVE to see. But you can't deny that MMA's success highlights the fundamental issues with boxing right now. It's an action packed sport and fans want to see ACTION.

The super six is ****ing genius. Already there have been amazing fights, and the 360 docs are good enough to suck any mainstream fan into following this tournament.

But just imagine if boxing had smth like the UFC. We'd be going crazy over a megafight every damn month.

There are tons of politics in MMA. The mainstream doesnt hear about it because UFC is being pushed as the main league, but there are tons of fighters who will never fight because they are in other leagues. Not that any of it matters because its all scripted and all, but the funniest thing was how when being taken down, Toney was clueless what to do at all so he just sat there.

I like how MMA has 1 champ, Boxing will fade away because of this multiple champs.

Toney hasnt been considered amongst above average boxers for a while now but mma hyped him as if he was still the p4p king in boxing. meaningless fight, meaningless win. he's been fighting for too long no wonder t got to him.. but you guys should worry less bout what he's saying now, lets just watch some of his fights from the 90's and stop the hate
