And for those of you that keep saying boxing received a black eye because of toney's loss..... couture vs toney had nothing to do with boxing.
this was an MMA MATCH... not boxing match!
That's like saying basketball received a black eye because kobe bryant lost to tiger woods in a game of golf...c'mon people, shake yourselves.
Regarding kimbo- Technically, Kimbo was knocked down by a jab and kept down by a number of right hands till the ref stopped the fight.Last edited by tusc1976; 08-30-2010, 12:45 PM.Comment

I wish BoxingScene would start posting the author of the article with the title so that I could choose whether I want to read it or not. I'm tired of clicking on a title only to see it's some made up bull**** or fantasy scripting by Marley with a fakeass headline to draw people in. This is yet again some dream land article of Marleys with no merit what so ever that people seem to take as real.Comment

So James Toney bigs up that he's the only one brave enough to do both sports, and more ufc guys should be willing to box.
Yet here a street fighter, who got into ufc, now talking of doing boxing, and he still shreds him, despite him doing exactly what he proclaims to be great.Comment

id rather see an unknown whip Kimbo if he's seriously going to take up boxing. i'd give him a lot of respect for getting in the ring, but if anyone deserves to get the payday and a little fame of Kimbo then please give it to Seth Mitchell!Comment

I really hope you're joking around... Kimbo is a ****ing joke, and a 42 yr old shot way past his prime James Toney would knock the living **** out of him in boxing. Kimbo is not beating any top boxers in this sport, I'd be shocked if he got past a B-level boxer at heavyweight even if this isn't the greatest era for heavyweight boxing they are still miles better then KIMBO.Comment
