What about this? MMA expert picks a fight with boxing novice in an impromptu MMA match and goes to sleep. This is what happens when an MMA fighter goes toe-to-toe with a boxer. Couture admitted he was too afraid to trade with Toney.

Couture's win over Toney proves nothing except a pro boxer doesn't belong in the cage with a MMA veteran like Couture. To be honest, a boxer doesn't belong in a cage at all with any cage fighter.

Toney beating Couture in boxing wouldn't mean anything either because they are both pros in two different sports.

In this situation there are two types of boxing fans.

Type 1) Buys into the hype Dana White speaks to try put UFC on the same level as Boxing (something that businesses, or business rivals do, talk themselves into appearing to be at the same level as their superior rival).

and

Type 2) The sensible boxing fan who realises the stark contrast of these two sports and doesn't feel threatened or fear that these bouts could somehow cause boxing to dissapear, a sport with 100 times the history, one thousand times the character and one million times the entertainment.
