I dont get why there is such a strong comparising.

Everyone keeps saying boxing vs mma and there is this huge argument of which is better.

mma is a combat sports that brings boxing, kickboxing, judo, wresling, jujitsu as well as other martial arts

Boxing is a combat sport itself that gets in the ins and outs and the specifics and mechanics of boxing as whole.

So if a person likes boxing as well as kickboxing, judo does that make him less inferior then a person that JUST likes boxing????

I train with kickboxers, and I rather watch kickboxing than MMA.

The reason I stopped watching MMA is because they arent masters of there sport.

I want to watch people who are really good at what they do, not dudes who trained in multiple things for a few years.

I hear you brother, its quality and not quantity but that being said you cant hate on someone for watching mma.

Truth be told mma made me a boxing fan because in the beginning I was in to sloppy brawling but after sometime I yearned for more and started watching k1 kickboxing then I wanted to see crisper punches then I watched boxing.

Same thing with grappling and now I do some of that judo myself.

So really mma is great for people who wanna see what the next level of boxing, kickboxing, judo grappling is because it gives the casual fans a basics of each martial arts and from there each fan can pick if they wanna see crisper boxing, kickboxing, judo, sambo, wrestling and etc...

the only reason there is discussion of only mma and boxing is because boxing and MMA are the only relevant combat sports on anyone's radar. they are the only real popular combat sports, in the states anyway. i don't know how popular other things are in europe and asia.

and the only reason there is a 'comparison' is because you have extremely ******ed people - like the ones making these idiotic threads on NSB tonight. there should be no real comparison between boxing and MMA. they are two different sports for a reason. they just both happen to be combat sports. and there is a reason toney got smoked - because they are two different sports.

They have always been compared to each other, I'm sure it's in other martial arts forums arguing the same thing.

Trying to argue what is better than boxing here is gonna get you hated one.

The reason why MMA people train in everything is because their opponent brings those things to the arsenal. If someone is weak in an area their opponent will be exploited much as the same in boxing. However as you are allowed to do more so you need to be able to handle more. Simple
