i think there are a large number of boxers that would be successful in MMA... but like everyone else, they would need to start on the bottom and get better after a number of years. no boxer is going to go into the UFC and immediately spark out anderson silva with only a few months of training. it will never happen. the octagon is an MMA fighters playground - and in order to find success in MMA, you have to make the octagon your own play ground. you have to become a mixed martial artist, and THEN you have get to the world class level.

you can't just jump in the sport over night, will never work.
well the reason he looked so fkn bad is becuz we was against one of the top fighters in ufc man. toney isnt even top 10 in boxing man. its a joke.

exactly dude. it is a complete joke. toney needed to be put in with someone on his level - a novice just entering the sport. idc if toney is a world class boxer (although he hasn't had a good victory since sam peter, which he was robbed in the first fight) - you cant just hop into MMA and think that you will take it to a top ten guy. couture is legit, the octagon is his turf, not toney's. once toney makes the octagon his turf, then its a different story. toney better be glad he didn't get lesnar, like he wanted.
