Frankie Edger boxing was impressive against BJ Penn tonight I give him Credit for actually standing and fighting instead of just taking BJ Penn down all night and laying on Top Of Him
this was a sarcasm thread. i still can't believe how many boxing fans are butthurt by toney losing. this mma vs boxing thing is ridiculous, why can't we all get along? both are great combat sports and if one doesn't like the other, then just don't watch it.

you were impressed that edgar actually stood fighting? bj's stand-up is good but his ground game is great, so why would you want penn on the ground? the way i see edgar is like the "ivan calderon" of mma. he isn't the most exciting guy but sure as hell hard to beat.

calm down I am a fan of both sport I been following MMA since PRIDE was around, I don't believe in that Boxing vs MMA BS because it is room for both sport obviously and MMA will never "Replace Boxing" because they attract totally different audiences, so no I am not "butthurt" over Toney losing at all because that is what I expected, all I am saying is that if a Future Hall Of Fame Boxer can jump into the Octagon, then why don't a MMA guy actually stand and FIGHT with a Boxer

as for Edgar, that is the thing Frankie could have taken BJ down all night if he wanted to but instead of stood and fought BJ, nobody ever said he was great at it but Edgar did well

I don't think this fight proved anything as far as "Who Is Better", it just proves that a MMA Guys Is Better Then A Boxer...When It Comes To MMA!

Lmao, u may have had a point if it weren't for the fact Toney is by far not the best representative of boxing to cross over to MMA and prove which sports superior. Let's see one of those guys try that with a superior athletes like Pacquiao, or the Klitchkos.

And until the day a top MMA fighter crosses over to boxing to fight an experiences and/or Elite boxer, there's no way to prove which sport is better.
