    Boxing MMA question?

It's funny how MMA fans love to say MMA fighters would beat boxers any day but with that being said "Why don't MMA fighters (if they're so 'strong') and supposedly hit "harder" go into Boxing? I mean instead of getting a hundred thousand (If they even make that) why not go into boxing and make millions?

Probably because the "best" MMA has to offer would have their 'careers' ended within the first round of a boxing match and would be too brain damaged to crawl back into the ****togon with their tails between their legs.

boxing has far better competition and far more elite skill than MMA simply because it has existed longer and cultivated the infrastructure (i.e. elite trainers, training facilities, etc, etc).

no elite MMA fighter would stand a chance against most journeymen boxers.

There's a video on youtube of Anderson Silva (the #1 p4p MMA fighter in the world, undefeated etc) sparring against some no name journeymen boxer in Freddy Roach's wildcard gym. He gets tagged at will by this bum with a losing record. They can't even compete

From a pure competition stand-point, why should an MMA fighter go to boxing? In the boxing vs MMA comparison, no one has their tools limited. An MMA fighter removes the majority of his tools going to boxing, a boxer is limited in no way. Asking an MMA fighter to go to boxing is like asking a boxer to compete in pure BJJ or submission grappling.

I think that's true. White threatened to cancel Anderson Silva's contract when Silva considered taking Roy Jones up on his challenge/offer

Silva was winning yes but he was getting tagged AT WILL and not 'clowning' anyone. If it was without headgear Silva probably would have been KTFO by the number of huge punches that bum landed on his face

Maybe because Dana White KNOWS boxing and knows it would be more promotion for the sport of boxing as people would see the reality of their MMA 'faves' being K.O'd one by one in the first round of every match. Then it would be the grand K.O. of that dry humping in Victorias Secret panties sport.

Gotta love how the announcers try to hype up MMA fighters swings and misses as "big bombs".

And how quick they are to stop a fight after what amounts to a few jabs on the ground (ground and pound) LMAO.
