Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Meldrick Taylor

I re-watched this fight a couple of minutes ago, The only thing I'll comment on is that JCC is very underrated in this fight and doesn't get enough credit on how much damage he was inflicting on Taylor throughout the entire fight even as early as the second round.

The stoppage........meh, I blame it on Taylors corner for ****ing it up, Thanks to them Taylor didn't respond to the Referee.

This observation wouldn't have anything to do with you being Mexican would it?

Nationalism doesn't have to do with anything, Why the **** would I favor JCC right now 20 years later when that victory wasn't even ****ing decisive. I just said he doesn't get enough credit for the damage he was inflicting on Taylor. Most people make it sound like it was complete domination. I still give the fight to Taylor.

Its a legit win for JC anyway anyone wants to spin it, it couldn't have happened if Chavez didn't land a hell of a shot at the end badly hurting Taylor to a point where he was on dream st. in the corner unresponsive to Steele's questions.

Exactly, But I had the fight really close with Taylor edging out two more rounds than JCC. Still, It's Taylors fault for getting put on ***** street at the end and not responding to the ref.

JCC-Taylor was a MUCH closer fight then people remember it.

People think that because Taylor may have been robbed of the victory that that means he was winning going away.

            That wasn't the case.

Chavez was beating him up in some rounds as you said

Crap stoppage imo. ONe of the worst of AT.

Anyone know what the scorecards were at the end of the fight? Would it have mattered?

I'm not dis*****g the damage JCC did to Taylor, hell it was rumored Meldrick was pissing blood after the fight. I just think Taylor got the raw deal in the end.

Taylors corner ****ed it up for him, Did you not see that even though he was ahead his corner told him to keep fighting and that they NEEDED to win the 12th round instead of telling him not to pressure and back off? It's the Corners fault and Taylors that he lost that fight. I don't blame the referee one bit.

Taylor would have won a SD.
