Comments Thread For: Diaconu vs Sheika Lands on Bute-Brinkley Undercard

BoxingScene.com was advised by boxing agent Don Majeski, who works with InterBox, that former light heavyweight champion Adrian Diaconu (26-2, 15KOs) will face Omar Sheika (30-9, 21KOs) on October 15. The fight will be part of the undercard to the super middleweight clash between IBF champion Lucian Bute and mandatory challenger Jesse Brinkley at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Diaconu's two career defeats were back to back decisions to current light heavyweight king Jean Pascal. [Click Here To Read More]

it is about time Diaconu comes back

I guess he needed some time to recover mentally after losing his championship (and the rematch to it) to rebuild himself

Sheika is a safe opponent to get him back on a winning streak, hopefully with a title shot down the line

Cloud - Diaconu would be dynamite, and I would favor Cloud

Actually he had double surgery on his right arm, elbow and fist, that has been giving him fits for years thus the long layoff.A while ago it was discovered that he suffers from bone calcifiation whichb is weird sincei t usually happens to boxers when they are well retired.

Anyway Sheika is the right type opponent needed, sure shot W plus will be entertaining.

Good to hear Diaconu's back. The division needs regular names doing their thing.

A possible opponent for a resurgent Dawson in the future?
