firstoff, it's called a title. second, they stripped a legitimate champion in sergio martinez who was willing to defend it at 154 along with his belts at 160. i say legitimate due to his willingness to take on all challengers, including calling margarito out at 154.

nobody deserves a title in that division? you should limit crazy talk if you wish to be taken seriously. there are very good fighters at 154 that have been truly fighting other light middleweight fighters to get their rankings in the wbc, wba, ibf, etc.

for two fighters with no notable wins in a division to step-up and fight for a title is ridiculous and why few people that know how the world boxing organizations conduct business take world title fights seriously.

it was sergio's belt. if he was willing to defend it (and he was), he should have been allowed to, at least, lose it in the ring. the organizations are arrogant enough to believe the belt makes the champion when its really the champion making the belt.

Technically the only real champ at 154 is Cotto and maybe Dzinzurik. I actually think fights against either of those guys are worse than a fight with Margarito.

I really wish a legitamate champ would emerge and establish himself at that weight class so Manny could fight him. Too bad that hasn't happened yet though there is some hope with a guy like Angulo.

Williams may be higher than Margarito. But the problem is that Margarito beat Cintron twice by KO, and he also beat Martinez by KO. He demolished both fighters. Maybe, that figured in the decisions of the WBA and WBC, but yeah, there is really no real champion at jr. middleweight except maybe Cotto. But Pac beat him to convincingly and too recently. Maybe they can have their rematch after Pac beats Marg.

Fuck the WBC and WBA and the other 2 major sanctioning bodies.

Say what you will about Cintron, K9, Anuglo, P-Will. They have put in work at 154 against top 10 comp. Margarito has not against any top 10. I am not even counting Dzinziruk or Cotto. Hell even Foreman has put in more work. I would rank Erislandy Lara over Margarito at 154 just cuz he has put in work.
