Mayorga wasn't a real champ at 154 either. So how can Oscar be the number #1 guy and a real champ at 154 by beating him?

how wasnt mayorga a real champ at 154??? he won the vacant title, he deserved a shot at the loser who had it because he had fought better competition and he was easily one of the top 5 fighters in the division. ur not making any sense numb nuts.

actually it is really up to the CHAMPION, if Martinez wants to defend his title against Mayweather then he has every right to do so

it is a big difference actually fighting a Champion compared to fighting for a Vacant Title

Floyd was the best fighter at 147 and DLH was the best fighter at 154. They tried to make the fight a few years before they fought, but Arum could not give PBF a 15M guarantee to fight DLH.

Boxing and the fans wanted this fight.

Mayorga was ranked by WBC, which allowed him to fight for the vacant title. So obviously he did something right. Then DLH beat him, which allowed him to get that title.

and why was it against a guy who had only fought one time in 2006 and never once in 2005?

Getting title shots against part time fighters is what one approves of?
Much as I dislike Floyd I cant argue against him getting that fight, actually at that time I hadnt really stopped pulling for him, it was basically around that time.

So nobody can answer the question eh?

Didn't think so. I see a few people saying that Floyd and Oscar were the best in their divisions.

but without making a single defense,

                  how would anyone know that?

Are you trolling or just ******ed ?!! That was the fight EVERYONE wanted to see. It got the biggest numbers in boxing history. It was the #1 p4p best 147pounds against the biggest seller in boxing history, a legend and #1 at 154 pounds. But you would have preferred to see them fight their respective #1 contender ??!!

Wth is going on in boxingscene lately.

What do you want now, Alvarez vs Mayweather or you want Floyd to defend his title vs Luis Carlos Abregu and Alvarez against Rabchenko, come on son
