James Toney: A fight genius or simply delusional?

The most interesting fight tomorrow is obviously going to be James Toney vs Randy Couture. Toney has some serious balls to step into the Octagon to fight a MMA legend under MMA rules, and Randy knows pretty much everything about grappling and the groundgame.

Toney would never take this fight unless he thought he could win, but let's face it MMA is a different sport so what makes Toney think he can be successful in MMA using only his boxing skills?

So...Is Toney a fight genius who's seeing something that most people don't? or is Toney just delusional and surronded by a bunch of YES sayers?

As a boxing fan I would love to see Toney knock Randy the f-ck out. I don't want to see him get embarrassed tomorrow...you know a clueless Toney on the ground, don't know what to do while getting beat up and gets submitted in less than 2 minutes or something like that.

    Genius or delusional?

hes neither. hes just a guy looking to make some money now that hes totally shot and at the end of his career.

He couldnt even get a televised fight in boxing, but now hes the co-main event in a PPV in mma.

      what a joke.

toney will either get ground and pounded or submitted.

only way toney wins is if white pays couture to fight stand up only

I find it very hard to believe that Toney is only looking for a payday. He has a huge ego and wouldn't take this fight unless he thought he could win.

He is about to main event his first MMA fight, and is facing the most known MMA fighter in history for a big sum of money.

Sounds pretty smart to me even if he gets KO'd or beatin

dude Toney comes into every fight saying how he'll annihilate his opponent, embarrass Sam Peter who ended up doing the Ali on Toney and knocking him down, etc, etc. Then when he loses it's always an excuse of some sort. Of course he's delusional.
However delusional or not he stands a very real chance to KTFO aging Couture

Yup, it's for nothing more than a payday. He's going to get stopped in the 1st round.

But to answer the thread's question, I'd say delusional. I'd love nothing more than to see him win, but it's not going to happen.
