Team pacquiao and Top Rank never intended to make fight with Floyd. What is happening was planned to happen. margarito was already penciled by Top Rank and Team Pacquiao prior to the Clottey fight.

Thats all the Pacfans been doing since the possibility of a fight between Pac and Floyd first got mention. Since they don't know anything about Boxing and how to break down a fighter's technical ability, they attacked the most obvious thing, which is his race. They have nothing to say about his boxing ability, and as for Pac, the only thing they say is "he's so fast, so strong, and he's fighter of the decade".
