Featherweight challenger Rafael Marquez expects his fight with WBO champion Juan Manuel Lopez to receive a date in the month of November. Despite reports in Puerto Rico of a date in late October, Marquez is hearing the fight with Lopez is going to take place on November 6. Marquez injured his wrist and the thumb on his right hand. Unless, Showtime is planning on having a competing tripleheader, I doubt the bantamweight tourney will be staying on the same date.
It's probably getting moved and I hope it gets moved up because October is pretty barren of anything right now. Hopefully Showtime finds a slot for both cards sooner rather than later.Comment

Well they have proposed dates of dec 18/nov 6, but that was before this so called proposed date of nov 6th for the juanma fight.the tourney still don't have a venue and I'm thinking it will be a west coast showing.I doubt if they will have a tripleheader, they would want to showcase the tourney and rafa fight as their own event.G shaw will put the tourney at a later date Than nov 6 i would think.Comment
