    Jones-Hopkins II

Was wondering if anyone had read the members article on ********** that talks about Hopkins contacting Jones about a rematch or Jones's possible rematch with Tarver..too broke right now to buy a membership but I am really curious as to which way Jones is leaning (based on Hopkins performance in the Taylor match Jones would have a good chance against him, better than he would against Tarver I think)...anyway, just curious since the future of Hopkins and Jones are the more interesting rumours flying around (besides the rumours of Floyd-WInky and Floyd-Judah, the latter of which I think will happen soon if Mayweather cannot reach an agreeement with Hatton)

    Cheers,
    B

    It doesn't say much.

Something to the effect of Bernard called him and offered to fight him, Bhop taking 60%, offering Roy 40%.

All it really says is that's what Roy said, and that he figures that to mean Hopkins isn't interested in fighting, because he wants the bigger share of the purse.

He does mention that he's currently in training though...

You have it wrong. Hopkins wanted a 50/50, it was Jones that wanted 60%.

Jones wanted 60/40 in 2001. But I read this article that Jones would accept a 50/50 now.

            You're an idiot.

Don't tell me I'm wrong about relaying an artcile you've never read.

He asked about the locked interview on **********, and I just said what's in it.

What I mentioned in my post above IS what it says, and your assertion has nothing to do with the article or what's in it.

OK idiot, I was thinking about the old article. I don't know **** about the new article, Jones VS. Hopkins will never happen. Hopkins clearly said on July 12Th that he will not fight a guy that was knocked out by Glen Johnson. He said I KO Johnson, even if he beats Jones, what will this prove.

ummmmmmm it would avenge his loss from 11 years ago...Right??? So i dont kno why he say what will this prove...I think Johnson will beat Hopkins at 175...Hopkins lost to Taylor though so none of that matters...Jones will fight Tarver...Hopkins will fight Taylor again and Johnson will probally go win a title from one of the paper champs or wait to see if Jones beats Tarver..Then Have Jones Johnson 2...

I think Johnson will the tougher fight for Jones then Tarver. Johnson was not letting Jones to take breath. If Jones loses to Tarver, then Tarver will own Jones for good. Jones better retire if he loses again.
