Damn, are you kidding me? Unless Floyd for some very very odd reason agreed to fight Williams and nobody knows about it (which I really doubt), there is absolutely no getting around this being a complete duck. Whose left at 147? Mayweather never showed interest, Arum dismissed him as an opponent for Pacquiao, Clottey hid in his clamshell once Williams accepted his challenge, Mosley advised him to move up to 154 or 160 when he was asked about him, Cotto isn't and never was interested, and Berto is with Haymon. So who is he gonna fight? Timothy Bradley? lol he may be my favorite fighter and I respect him for being willing to fight Williams, but there's no way in hell he'd beat him. It would be like putting Marcos Maidana in the ring with Pavlik.

there literally is no one for him to fight at 147 lbs.

at best, there is clottey who has no opponent for the rest of the year, but the martinez fight is a bigger fight against someone coming off a dominant win and is for bigger money.

I don't know what pwill is thinking.

Exactly. And if Clottey really wanted that fight like he claimed he did, he would have taken it when Williams accepted his challenge. I'm sure he realized that even though "Williams can't punch" as he said in an interview, he's still a stylistic nightmare for someone with Clottey's style.

But who knows, maybe he and Floyd have something planned and nobody knows. I seriously doubt it, but I've been finding it kind of strange that both have been so quiet recently. I mean not even their loudmouth trainers have been talking...Today was Roger's first interview is god knows how long, and Williams' trainer has been a ghost. But I guess I'm being too imaginative...

the fight isn't actually signed.. just "agreed" upon.
there is still a possibility it could be martinez to fight mayweather but i doubt it.
