That interview was held after the Salita fight. Team Khan were looking for an American debut opponent. Thats why Roach said to fight somebody else.

Amir is right. Why is Maidana asking for so much money? If Maidana beats Amir, he can get all the big fights he want and make lots of money.

There's a reason why Maidana is talking about Amir. He's been the WBA manditory challenger since June 2009. It's all good saying he deserves more money but the WBA has ordered the fight. Meaning that it should go to a purse bid and if Khan doesnt agree to that. He should be stripped.

I'm sorry but he's 23 years old and has his career ahead of him. The "big payday" thing is just an excuse. If the guy is your manditory then you should fight him. Regardless of how much he or you are getting paid. I mean, Khan will get paid more than Maidana. So why does he care what Marcos would be getting? Just make the fight and prove yourself Amir.
