    Pacquiao's defining moment- which fight?

Sugar Ray Robinson had several defining moments - one of which was the St. Valentine's Day Massacre against Jake LaMotta.

Muhammad Ali had his victory against Joe Frazier in Manila.

Sugar Ray Leonard had his dramatic come from behind win against Thomas Hearns.

Which of Pacquiao's fight against a certified all-time great - who was still in his prime and fighting without a weight and/or age handicap or not coming off a devastating KO - made him the legendary all-time great fighter that he is?

    1st Barrera fight
Pac was underdog and new to 126
a lot of people didn't even know who he was
beat Marco's ass almost every second of every rd for the lineal title
definitely the fight that made him

The fights that people can remember just like the ones that Floyd had.

Pac: both Marquez fights, All the Morales fights, the Barrera fights, the Hatton fight, DLH fight, Cotto fight

Floyd: the Castillo fights, Hernandez fight, Judah fight, Hatton, DLH, and Mosley

Same gripes about age and primes can be used against Floyd so they both have had defining fights

first it was Sasakul for lineal title # 1..in Thailand no less

then it was Ledwaba, the invasion of US shores

then it was Barrera, legend...in Texas of all places

then it was avenging his loss to Morales

        then it was retiring Oscar

        then it was retiring Hatton

then it was making Cotto moonwalk away from a midget

            MAB 1, undoubtedly.
Then...a draw but with 3 knockdowns of the most skilled featherweight at the time, future hall of famer Juan Manuel Marquez, in his absolute prime.

then the succession of Morales III, undefeated Solis, MAB II, and JMM II all in less than 16 months.

This guy's resume yells top 20 ATG, at least an honorable mention.

so many stories involving pac , hard to pinpoint.

he took the ledwaba fight on short notice. only reason he got that fight was because ledwaba's opponent pulled out. pacquiao was close to giving up on fighting in america and moving back to philippines.

he also fought barrera , marquez and morales back to back to back in a space of 16 months which is damn good.

the barrera 1 , marquez 1 and morales 1 in a space of 16 months is more impressive even though he lost and got a draw.
