I'm going with Froch by split decision. That's my final pick.

AA will probably cycle around and try to potshot him, but he'll get swarmed with punches and the fight in my eyes probably will be tough as hell to judge.

Seems like this fight could be one of those that ends up with everyone screaming robbery if Abraham wins by decision. I definitely don't think either are going to get knocked out. Just my .02

I think this is really Froch's fight to lose.

Froch is tireless, has great reach, an underrated jab, a great chin. I also think that his ability to throw punches from awkward angles will benefit him in this fight.

Froch, like Dirrell, can simply pump his jab and throw a few right hands here or there to keep Abraham occupied and carry the early rounds. More importantly, unlike Dirrell, he throws the kind of wide looping shots that can sneak around Abraham's turtle shell defense.

Froch's defense isn't great... obviously.. so it is important that he has a good chin in this matchup. Abraham has very good power but I can't see him landing the kind of shot against Froch that leaves him in a heap on the floor. Froch can take enough punishment to survive a few good shots from Abraham and that's important.

I think Froch can win the first 6 rounds just as easily as Dirrell did. It may not be quite as convincing but I just don't see Abraham being able to adapt his style. He may claim he will come out fighting faster but I just won't believe it until I see it.

Froch is gonna win the first 6 rounds.. and when Abraham gets desperate Froch will still have plenty of energy energy and I think he can walk Abraham onto some punches that can hurt him.

I think Froch wins a wide UD, with the possibility of a late stoppage.

Froch will be more active of the two, but he has a tough guard to break down....he needs to work that body.

Abraham will start off slower, but gain momentum in the mid-rounds looking to bank on a stoppage. Froch get's hit, Abe has power....i'm not sure how much punishment the Cobra's chin can take if he wants to go to war....Froch's smart money would be to box at distance....and eek out a hard-fought decision.

I really have a hard time picking a winner in this fight. Froch always gets hit clean at least once in every one of his fights, and Abraham has the sort of frightening power that could end things early for Carl. But Froch also has the ability to get through Abraham's tight shell defense with looping shots and uppercuts and the sort of jab that could, for a few rounds at least, keep Abraham at a distance. If Froch digs hard shots to the body early on, things could get interesting. Likewise, if Abraham does what he said he'd do, and starts out fast, would Froch be able to keep the rampaging smurf off him? Finally, how will both fighters react after their first loss? A lot of variables in this fight, a most intriguing contest.

I agree. This will be VERY interesting. Both have strengths and weaknesses that they can take advantage of.

This should be a good fight, one of the sparks for 2010.

I'm favoring AA to KO Froch, but he's gonna dig very deep to get it done.

I do hope AA's power shows up full force once he hits Carl flush, whom I agree with the other guys who said Froch's always been vulnerable to such clean shots his previous fights, and we know AA has power on both hands and can pull it off.

Plus it will be interesting to see if AA changes his strategy after the Dirrel loss, he may not stay in his shell for the 1st 3 or 4 rounds.

My 1st thought is AA by KO

Froch's about to bring some genuine class to Monaco.

AA does have pretty good power when he commits to punching. I think however he loses that (obviously) when he's swarmed in tight. Evidenced by Miranda swarming him, and really he nerfed his own punches so to speak, Abraham did.

Otherwise he probably could have used more lateral movement and got Miranda out of there in the earlier rounds,

I digress I still think Miranda should have won that fight, AA appeared to have shook his head and muttered "no" when the ref asked him if he wanted to continue, but Warren was screaming at the ref to let the fight go on.

Grr off topic rant but I was trying to make a point about AA's chin and comparing Miranda's fighting style... somewhat to Froch's however being more sluggish. Either way this is the fight I'm really looking forward to.

Is this still happening, Nelson? I really don't want to get my hopes up for this event only for it to be postponed.
