Bute is ducking him, wants to fight the Adrates of the world at this point. Also he might want to take on Allen Greean and Taylor.

You're logic is flawed to say the least. How you arrive at your conclusion that Hopkins will be able to implement the same strategy against Pascal who as you noted fights nothing like Pavlik bafflles me. Hopkins will be in vs a guy who has considerably faster hands, faster feet, and who won't be trying to just walk him down like Pavlik does. Looking at the Pavlik fight will tell you next to nothing about how a Pascal fight will unfold.that is what i meant i did not explain it well, pavlik is a 100 puncher per round, that is his tendency, i didnt mean he was
capable of throwin that many against bhop, my whole point is that bhops ring iq negated his ability to do so. thanks.
yes that is my estimate, i can not predict the future.
however if you look at a boxers tendencys, pavliks is to throw 100 punches a round and wear you down with thudding shots
pascals tendency is to flurry to score points, land some good shots and stay away keeping ahead on the round.
so if you compare pascals tendencies to that of bhop, even at this stage you have to give the matchup to bhop.
so if bhop was to eliminate pavliks punches from 100 to 38, what is he going to eliminate pascals 38 to? 20?Comment

I am not sure if it is Bute or his handlers, but you would think they would jump at the opportunity. If they keep this up and Pascal remains successful, he may end up stealing their thunder.
I will not go as far as calling it a duck as they are in different weight classes. I am willing to go on record though and say that so far, Bute and his team have not shown a commitment of fighting any world beaters. He has been around for a while and has mostly been fighting fringe guys.Comment

Bute doesn't need a Pascal fight. Pascal should take advantage of his 15 minutes and get a quick fight and move on. Outside of Canada Pascal makes nothing unless he goes to Haiti and fights for voodoo money. Great win for him over an illprepared ****** sad chad.Comment

it is all about winning rounds. pascal is not active enough to win the rounds against hopkins who utilizes movement and ring generalship.Comment

i think it could be a mixer of both bute and his handlers.......I am not sure if it is Bute or his handlers, but you would think they would jump at the opportunity. If they keep this up and Pascal remains successful, he may end up stealing their thunder.

This is where Hopkins steps in and pull off another upset, making history.
This is kind of similar to Mosley-Margarito in 2008, remember those days? Margarito pulls off his biggest win against Cotto and is the Man of the division, everybody's focused on Margarito-Cotto rematch and out of nowhere, old man Mosley comes in and knocks him out, changing the landscape.

Bute is obviously content to fight the Jesse Brinkley's of the word and the losers of the Super Six.Comment

Cloud is the guy who deserves a shot. Not Hopkins. Pascal needs to do the right thing and make the better fight happen. What the hell does Hopkins even have to offer other than a name? He's not even a draw anymore and he puts on horrible fights these days. Well, at least every other fight.Comment
