the question is, will Pascal be willing to fork over 60/40 to Hopkins. I don't think Hopkins fights for anything less, even in montreal.

seriously though, I doubt Hopkins will want to fight in Canada. But if he does, Hopkins is gonna need a KO to win.

just before the dawson fight some french media reported that if pascal beat dawson, he would be guaranteed 1.5 million for his next fight by his promoter. only 1 boxer can get him the 1.5 and that's bute. i have also read everywhere that pascal will not chase bute. but claiming this in english and french over and over is in fact chasing. don't get me wrong, i'd love to see pascal-bute. not as much as pascal would love to see it though lol

As far as Pascal outhustling B-Hop, your absolutely right! Think Jermaine Taylor, better fighter than B-Hop? No! More active, hungrier than B-Hop? yes!
Same with Calzaghe, just too active.
Now as far as Dawson not hurting Pascal....C'mon man you saw that uppercut stand him right up,eyes opened wide like WTF! He should fight Dawson again, he won the first fight,he's the champ and Its in his hometown,
he can call all the shots. Due to the controversial stoppage this is the fight to be made, Dawson was the champ and you dont MAKE the champ go out like that, when he's pleading to continue!there were a round and a half left and things were getting interesting. But basically Pascal knows he got a gift and would rather fight Hopkins(wonder why?)instead of defending against the best @ 175 because he knows he'll be looked @ like a one hit wonder

bhop will not need to expend as much energy as he did against pavlik

bhops ring iq is 100x that of dawson or pascal.

bhop wont stay static and bend over to his left and receive flurries losing points like a greeeeeeeeen dawson did.

so you want pascal to pull a mayweather and say he's on vacation instead of talking to the media about his next potential opponent?

I think pascal is doing the right thing. he's gotta milk his time in the spotlight while he can

he didnt try to outwork a very busy taylor, he tired to out box him, and really won the first fight.

more importantly, pascal is not busy enough to steal rounds with random flurries against a bhop.

              that is the point.

pavlik threw 100 punches a round and couldnt win one round due to bhops ring generalship

what makes you think pascals 30 punches a round will win him the rounds and the fight?

hopkins isn't gonna be ****** like dawson and chase pascal around the ring. hopkins will wait for pascal to lunge in and catch pascal with a big counterpunch.

Just because you keep saying it doesn't make it true.

Pavlik threw 36 punches or less in 6 rounds.

                  Total punches :
                  Pavlik - 108 / 463
                  Hopkins -172 / 530

lol Pavlik averaged 38.5 punches per round. Part of that was due to Hopkins great footwork but i also imagine that his elbow injury and bronchitis played a role too.

that is what i meant i did not explain it well, pavlik is a 100 puncher per round, that is his tendency, i didnt mean he was
capable of throwin that many against bhop, my whole point is that bhops ring iq negated his ability to do so. thanks.

yes that is my estimate, i can not predict the future.
however if you look at a boxers tendencys, pavliks is to throw 100 punches a round and wear you down with thudding shots

pascals tendency is to flurry to score points, land some good shots and stay away keeping ahead on the round.

so if you compare pascals tendencies to that of bhop, even at this stage you have to give the matchup to bhop.

so if bhop was to eliminate pavliks punches from 100 to 38, what is he going to eliminate pascals 38 to? 20?

although i would rather see a cloud vs pascal or cloud vs dawson because i feel, as we all do, it would be more exciting than watching hopkins try to ud pascal.

i dont think pascal takes on cloud though

i think dawson wins a rematch with pascal, there was some evident ring rust but still he needs to learn to become tenacious at times.
