If he was a true champ he would not have low blowed Vargas when he was clearly hurt. I know this is an old subject, but this is the fight that pisses me off the most! And the one that I get into the most arguments about. Look, Tito had been hurt before, but never to the extent that Vargas had him hurt. Vargas was a ferocious dude back in the day and was known to finish fighters when they were hurt. Tito knew this, so he went to his dirty tactics. Vargas deserved that win after being down twice in the first seconds of the fight. Btw Vargas said that Tito hit 100 times harder than any other fighter that he ever fought! Tito was a cheater and a coward imo. Most of you idiots say that Vargas was nothing special and had a weak chin. Pre Titio Vargas had a great chin and had power to go with very good skills. Like Roger Mayweather says, most people dont know **** about boxing! Back in his day, Vargas was bigger than Cotto. I like Cotto, but he will be getting the same **** on here ten years from now. Just my thought on that....hate on!
Tito Trinidad had NOO Courage!!

No Courage lol, it took some real courage to type a wasteful ass paragraph of meaningless BS. Any fighter that steps in the ring has courage and "El Feroz" bite off more than he could chew b/c he was toast after the first left hook!! This guy couldn't even beat a shot Mayorga. Vargas was nearly decapitated in front of his mother and its hard to have simpathy for the man De La Hoya tried to give him some advice about Tito and he let his pride not his courage ruin his careerComment

I still can't work out how Vargas could be on the verge of being knocked out in the first,by a guy noted as one of the best finishers in the sport, and yet recover and come back to practically dominate the guy in some of the middle rounds. When Vargas boxed and used his jab from the outside,he made Trinidad look like a right tool.Unfortunately, despite his skills,Vargas's defense was absolutely shocking....Only a matter of time when Trinidad was going to start catching him again.
Vargas was a right tough bastard and at his peak, and excellent boxer to watch.
Difficult to accomplish such a thing when you're shot, poorly conditioned and no longer in any condition to be fighting yourself.Vargas makes easy work of Mayorga in his prime.Last edited by prinzemanspopa; 08-24-2010, 03:25 PM.Comment
