I thought they both have fought at 154 in their careers. Yes, Chavez moved up for the Duddy fight but Chavez most likely can make 154 still. If Chavez can't make 154 anymore, then there might be a catch-weight which I don't mind since I think this will be a fan-friendly fight.

Alvarez is a growing Jr. Middleweight fighting at welterweight, but has been fighting at 150 for his last few fights.
Chavez is a big 154 pounder that's been too lazy to make 154, so he's had to fight at 160 for his last few fights. Roach got him to 160 in just a 5 week camp, the kid could easily get done to 154 in a proper training camp with Roach and Ariza.Comment
